| Can we please do away with examinations in the education system?
cos I don't think it's going too well on my end.
How selfish.
Anyway, papers have commenced and I haven't felt like this in forever. The anxiety, adrenaline that gets your heart beating like some butterfly (no not looking at girls/ boys). The way your buccal cavity is devoid of any moisture, so you gotta hydrate yourself, and in the process of doing so, need to visit the washroom. And by the time you get back from the toilet, you are thirsty all over again. Really, it's a stupid, yet unavoidable, cycle -- facing these exams.
I have never, I repeat never, felt this way during exams. At best, I can say I've felt this rush at other types of exams because previously, academics didn't really strike me to be of much importance.
It's driving me nuts.
My itunes is probably the only thing keeping me sane, because my dear friends aren't exactly helping. In fact, I think they have a cabal to eliminate me from this rat race. Why do we study and why has my academics suddenly taken precedence over almost all my other activities? To be successful? god knows. I mean, seriously, I am giving up my exercising, and my obsession with not eating, just for this. And all for what? A laminated A4 paper that shows I got straight A's for my damned-to-hell A levels. It better be worth it.
okay I thought of the other reason.
To get a scholarship so that I can study overseas without infringing on my parents' bank accounts as much as I would if I wasn't subsidized by some other organization. Again, self-centered motivation, to live somewhere besides Singapore, so that I can live up some form of excitement.
So it's time to hibernate for a meager 6 hours, and then off to school totally unprepared to face tomorrow's challenge. Which is Economics case study and data response questions. oh god. I am so fucked.
